U.S. — Immigration and Customs Enforcement has become so scary that many illegal immigrants are reportedly considering leaving the United States.
Several illegal immigrants reported that the current environment of people getting arrested for breaking the law may force them to simply leave.
"ICE is so frightening that we no longer feel safe here," said an illegal immigrant on condition of anonymity. "It's really gotten bad. They are literally coming to places where illegal immigrants live and arresting them for the crimes they committed. America has really gone downhill. It no longer feels safe for people who have broken the law. We may have no choice but to leave, or even worse, apply for a green card."
Many Americans expressed deep remorse that illegal immigrants would be so scared of ICE as to up and leave. "This is not America," said Seattle resident Jeannie Washaw. "When illegal immigrants live in fear of immigration laws being enforced, we have lost our way. We have failed to live up to the ideals that represent America."
At publishing time, illegal immigrants had stated that if ICE got any scarier, people might stop coming to America illegally altogether.
