U.S. — A new Bible reading app called Daily Crumbs has taken the Christian community by storm thanks to the accessible way it guides users through the holy scriptures by just texting the entire Bible to them one verse at a time.

"It's the only way I can read," said Aida Nielson, a young member of Gen Z who wouldn't look up from her phone to talk with us. "Oh, here's another one. Leviticus 4:1 'Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying...' Wow, so insightful! I can't wait for the next text tomorrow."

"Print is dead, but the Bible lives on in text messages," said Daily Crumbs creator John Goodhill. "Daily Crumbs will have you reading the Bible in just 85 short years. Guaranteed."

Christian leaders initially pushed back on the app, arguing that it encourages out of context Bible reading which they say could harm a person's faith, but eventually came around when it became clear to them this was the only way most people would ever get through at least some of the Bible.

"Reading a verse takes almost no effort at all," said Reverend Thomas of Church of the Vinedresser. "I'm thankful this app exists so that people can put the bare minimum into their Christian growth."

A review on Apple's App Store gives the app five stars out of a possible five, noting, "Why is Jesus weeping? I don't remember the previous verse. Oh well. Great interface."

At publishing time, Daily Crumbs announced a print edition which would sell just one verse at a time in a beautiful leather-bound booklet with only one page.
