MIAMI, FL — After a bit of reflection, local man Dave Christensen decided that perhaps it would be best to pass on this year's Islamic car show.
Though he had attended the car show previously, held annually by a group of mosques, Christensen decided that attending this year might be unwise.
"I think I might take a rain check on that one," said Christensen. "I'm a big time car fanatic, I go to car shows all over the city. It's just, ah, I think that's not the one for me in 2026. Seems like the mixture of Islam and automobiles has been trouble lately. Might be better off just going bowling that day."
Christensen said he began to have concerns after the flyer for the annual car show stated that this year would feature a new prize for "Top Infidel Killer." "Usually, it's just like 'Best in Show' and 'The People's Choice'. So, that raised a slight red flag," said Christensen. "Oh, and in addition to 'Best Paint' there was also 'Best Blood Splatter', so yeah. I think I'm going to skip this one."
At publishing time, Christensen had also decided he would decline an invite to the Islamic custom knife show.
