U.S. — Concerned Americans have started a GoFundMe to purchase some clothing for the obviously destitute Sydney Sweeney.
With news circulating that the impoverished Sweeney apparently cannot afford even the smallest article of clothing, compassionate citizens have jumped in.
"Poor girl. She's got nothing, and no one is stepping up to help," said local woman Alisa Rhine. "It's been months now, and she still hasn't been able to acquire any clothes. How are we letting this happen in the year 2026? We've got to help this clearly indigent young lady get her dignity back. It's exactly what we as Christians are called to do: clothe the naked."
The GoFundMe, titled "Buy Some Clothes For Sydney Sweeney," quickly attracted donations from sympathetic Americans who said they could no longer stand by and watch the actress endure another red carpet appearance with only six square inches of fabric to her name.
"I saw a recent picture of her and just broke down crying," said donor Patricia Wilson. "You see poverty on television, but you never think it could get this bad right here in America. If we can just get her a couple of sweaters and a pair of pants, it could make a world of difference."
At publishing time, more GoFundMe campaigns had popped up for ladies walking around the grocery store in a sports bra.
