TEHRAN — With the world wondering last night what would come of Iran's ominous warnings, the Ayatollah revealed today that the "surprise to be remembered for centuries" was how much he had saved on car insurance by switching to GEICO.
"The lower premiums I'm paying will be remembered throughout history," the Ayatollah said. "As the Jewish devils and the Great Satan America continue to persecute us, our priority is saving the lives of our people. Coincidentally, I just saved over 15% by bundling my home and auto insurance by switching to GEICO. Thank you to GEICO, and death to Israel and America."
Israel admitted to being caught off guard by just how much the Ayatollah had saved on his car insurance premiums by making the switch. "We honestly can't believe it," said a Mossad agent on condition of anonymity. "For it only to take fifteen minutes, and save that much, it's really shocking. Also, I'm glad it was about car insurance and not a nuke. Anyhow, we're still sworn enemies, but good for him."
At publishing time, the Ayatollah was reportedly so pleased with his new GEICO premiums that he was considering adding a policy to cover his motorcycle as well.
