DENVER, CO — A local 10-year-old is being taken to court for illegal discrimination after a gay couple claimed he refused to bake them a gay wedding cake.
The couple says they still haven't recovered from the ugly hate incident.
"This proves that the LGBTQ+ community still faces horrific discrimination in this country," said Chez Fetley, the man who was denied service by 10-year-old Florian Simpson. "I asked the boy to bake me a beautiful gay wedding cake with rainbows and dildos all over it, and he looked me right in the eye and said: 'I'm sorry mister, I only have lemonade.' I've been in a state of shock in the weeks since the event, and I'm still shaking."
"This kind of hate should never happen in America."
Florian Simpson contests that he didn't even know what a "gay cake" was and also doesn't know how to bake cakes. "I was just trying to make some money to buy a puppy," said the alleged bigot. "Please don't arrest me, I'm scared!"
Experts say this is not an isolated incident as there are thousands of kids selling lemonade across the country while not having the decency to bake a gay cake.
At publishing time, sources had confirmed the lemonade stand had been seized by authorities until the matter could be settled in court.
