U.S. - A brief PSA for anyone participating in Halloween trick-or-treating this year: remember to check your kids' candy bags for Reese's peanut butter cups, so you can eat them before they do.

Many parents aren't aware of the danger of not sorting through their kids' candy. Experts confirm year after year that many kids end up scarfing down all the amazingly delicious Reese's cups, and their parents don't get a single one.

"Be aware, be smart, be safe," said one community official. "It takes a little effort on your part, but when you're finally plopped down on the couch letting the delicious processed chocolate and peanut butter-like substance melt in your mouth, it will all have been worth it."

Reese's aren't all you have to watch out for, however: every year, parents let their kids consume entire Snickers bars, Butterfinger bars, and bags of Sour Patch Kids, all before they've gotten a chance to sort through and hide them for themselves.

"Don't let your kids hold out on you. If you wait too long, you'll end up picking through their leftover Circus Peanuts and colored Tootsie Rolls," said the official.
