LOS ANGELES, CA — A movie studio with access to the entire collected works of humanity for use in its film adaptations reportedly opted to make yet another Spider-Man movie instead, sources revealed.
"Just do another Spider-Man!" noted film producer J. Justin Jackson reportedly directed his team. "Get me more movies of Spider-Man!"
According to a report in Variety, licensing the movie rights to an intellectual property can be as costly as it is lucrative, leading many studios to develop films from an original script or from the literally tens of thousands of timeless classic novels in the public domain. However, Sony Pictures, in collaboration with Walt Disney Studios, has instead begun development on another movie featuring everyone's favorite wall-crawler, Spider-Man.
"I've always wanted to see a modern big-screen adaptation of Cup of Gold," said film director Destin Daniel Cretton. "It was Steinbeck's first book, and a pirate adventure to boot, but I guess we're just going to make another Spider-Man movie. I guess we can put Shocker in it. He's way different than Electro, right?"
Though the studio will not be taking advantage of the entire collected works of humanity at its disposal for its next feature film, producers are reportedly content with the entire collected works of Spider-Man. "There's a lot of Spider-Man out there, and it's going to take a while before you see something repeat," screenwriter Walter Hamsmythe said as he once again wrote Green Goblin back into a movie.
At publishing time, Sony Pictures had renamed itself to Spider-Man Studios.
