LAS VEGAS, NV - Mayweather Promotions has revealed an exciting matchup that will take place on the undercard of the August 26th Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor "superfight," announcing Wednesday that Bill Nye will face Ken Ham in a 12-round middleweight bout.
"Get ready for the fight everyone wants to see," Mayweather Promotions said on a social media post sharing the promotional image for the match. "Bill 'The Science Guy' Nye will go toe-to-toe with Ken 'Fear of the Lord' Ham on August 26th at T-Mobile Arena. Time to put the chatter to rest and let these guys settle their differences in the ring!"
Nye has a four-year age advantage over Ham, at 61 vs. 65 respectively, but their height and reach are virtually identical, leading to much chatter over who will have an advantage in the bout.
As if they needed something else to argue about, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor have already landed on opposite sides of this fight with their predictions, with Mayweather predicting a win for Nye, saying, "The guy's got swag, with the bow ties and whatnot. You gotta go with a guy like that," and McGregor calling an early win for Ham, saying, "Ozzies are tough [expletive]. Plus, that Bill Nye 'Science Guy' or whatever the [expletive], I mean, just look at him. That's a man who's never been in a scrap in his life. Trust me on this."
Who will emerge victorious? We'll find out on August 26th.
