SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A local cockroach somehow maintained his composure on camera despite unexpectedly making contact with a journalist.
The cockroach, known to friends as "Larry," was filmed enjoying a nice evening stroll when a journalist appeared out of nowhere and brushed against Larry's exoskeleton.
"I don't know how the cockroach didn't run screaming," said local cockroach Daisy Masterson. "How do you have the self-control to not start flailing everywhere, trying to get the journalist off you? I couldn't have done it, to be honest. They're just so gross. That cockroach is an absolute pro."
Larry admitted that the episode had left him shaken, but he was proud of how he handled the situation. "I never imagined I'd have a journalist crawling over me on camera, but here we are," chuckled Larry. "It was such a shock. I couldn't believe it was happening, right on camera, but I just took a deep breath and tried not to think about what was touching me. I'm really happy with how I kept it together while the video was rolling, though admittedly I ran home and took multiple showers after the camera guy said 'cut.'"
At publishing time, the National Cockroach Association had issued a reminder that while Larry's story was impressive, pest control should be called immediately upon any sighting of a journalist.
Rumors swirl about the current condition of Senator Mitch McConnell, but his staff have come out to say that even if he were dead he will still be able to finish his term.
