ALEXANDRIA, IN - Pastor Steve Zaxby preached a stirring sermon on bearing one another's burdens Sunday at Harvest Bible Fellowship's morning service, just as the leader prepared to move to his new home across town, sources confirmed Friday.
"Bear one another's burdens, beloved!" an unusually passionate Zaxby reportedly implored his flock, as he dove headlong into Galatians 6:2. "Let's really live this out. Maybe you can talk to a friend that is struggling, or help a beloved individual in your church move their sofa and all their heavy bookshelves - what a great application of this verse."
Zaxby is said to have also identified several common burdens individuals struggle with, including "insecurity, depression, loneliness, and realizing you've hardly done any packing despite the fact you have to be out of your current house in less than a week." Additionally, to really drive home his point, Pastor Zaxby asked the congregation to write on a "connection card" one or two things they would commit to doing this week in order to bear someone's burden, and to drop those cards in the offering plate, along with whether or not they were free on Saturday and/or had a pickup truck available.
