ARCADIA, CA — A local pastor found himself torn between preaching God's eternal and entirely sufficient Scriptures to the congregation or just playing another entertaining movie clip.

Tasked with shepherding the flock that Jesus put under his care, Pastor Greg Stansberry of Loving Harvest Fellowship was reportedly struggling to decide whether he should put more exposition of the God-breathed Scriptures into his message or whether playing a banger movie clip on the jumbotron style screen would leave a bigger impression.

"The Scriptures do say they are able to make us wise to salvation through faith in Christ," murmured a conflicted Pastor Stansberry as he poured over his sermon outline in his study. "But on the other hand, the people really like it when I hit them with a clip from Gladiator or Hacksaw Ridge. What to do, what to do."

Attendees at Loving Harvest Fellowship were asked what they thought about the mix of Scripture and movie clips.

"Sometimes we just have to take a leap of faith, you know?" said one woman named Cindy. "That's what I learned from Indiana Jones, where he had to step across that invisible chasm to reach the Holy Grail. We don't always see the path. God wants you to just walk off a cliff and then throw salt on the invisible bridge. See, the lessons really stick! Oh, also I learned that 'Jehovah' starts with an 'I' in Latin."

At publishing time, after much prayer, Pastor Stansberry decided to play that clip from The Matrix where Neo has to choose between the red pill to wake up and escape the Matrix or take the blue pill and go back to sleep.
