FLATWOODS, KY — According to sources, a local married couple has decided to start having kids so they will finally have an excuse to watch the show Bluey.

"For a long time, we've felt like we're missing out," said Champ Chumbley, the husband. "All our friends have started having kids, and they're all telling us about the pure joy they experience as new parents finally getting to watch one of the most critically acclaimed children's cartoons of all time. We just couldn't wait any longer."

"We're so excited!" said Champ's wife Sadie, gleefully holding up a positive pregnancy test. "It will be so hard to wait nine whole months!"

Sociologists say there's a new "baby fever" sweeping young couples across the nation, which they say is almost entirely driven by a burning desire for a valid reason to sit down and watch Bluey. "People are telling us that having kids is worth it, just to watch this show," said one researcher.

Researchers say the remaining spike in birth rate is explained by childless couples who have already watched Bluey together and realized they wanted the delightful experience of raising kids of their own after seeing Bandit, Chilli, and their kids Bingo and Bluey go on their magical family adventures.

At publishing time, Planned Parenthood had petitioned to remove the show from the air.
