FRANKLIN, TN — The Christian music scene entered a somber new era this week, as news broke that, after running out of old beloved hymns to revise, musician Chris Tomlin had now begun adding new choruses to his own old songs.

The popular artist had found himself at a crossroads after having rearranged or altered every classic Christian hymn in existence, leaving him with no choice but to start creating updated versions of his own songs from earlier in his career.

"They're the only songs left that I haven't added stuff to," Tomlin said. "I spent so much time adding bridges and choruses to people's favorite hymns for years, but it never occurred to me that I would run through them all. I guess I'm left with no choice but to create revised versions of my stuff. It's the only way to keep it fresh."

Tomlin's fans, while sad to learn there wouldn't be any extraneous choruses added to perfect hymns like "How Great Thou Art" and "It Is Well with My Soul," were still looking forward to what he would do next. "I can't wait to hear what stuff he shoehorns into ‘How Great Is Our God,'" said Tomlin fan Kayla Greene. "Not to mention how exciting it will be to hear how many more repetitions of ‘it's who you are' he adds to ‘Good Good Father.' It'll be like hearing all his stuff for the first time… but with even more parts added in."

At publishing time, Tomlin faced allegations of heresy for attempting to add new choruses to the book of Psalms.

Trump had laid out his plan to absorb Canada and rename it to something better.
