HIXSON, TN — Local man Dennis Vargas once again purchased his golf clubs back from the garage sale his wife was hosting, marking the third such transaction this year.
Vargas has noted that his clubs disappear about every other month, and despite household members denying knowledge of the clubs' whereabouts, they consistently seem to make their way into the family garage sale.
"Not again," sighed Vargas, as he once again found his sticks out on the curb with a price tag. "Welp, looks like $25 bucks this time. Not bad. Maybe I can talk her down to $20."
According to eyewitnesses, Vargas and his wife proceeded to haggle for several minutes over the price of his own golf clubs. "Twenty bucks. Just let me have them back," pleaded Vargas. "I promise to never play 36 holes ever again. Oh, and to not call you from the course to say 'Happy Anniversary.' And, um, I'll throw in a trip to the spa for you and a friend."
At publishing time, Mrs. Vargas had reportedly purchased her own essential oil diffuser back from the garage sale.
Rumors swirl about the current condition of Senator Mitch McConnell, but his staff have come out to say that even if he were dead he will still be able to finish his term.
