WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Joe Biden slammed his predecessor Donald Trump in comments made to the media by asking why Trump couldn't stop 9/11 if he was really as good of a president as he claims.
According to reporters, Biden's question came in the course of an answer on his administration's response to Hamas, with journalists asking Biden about Trump's criticism.
"Gaza pier? What pier? Look, man, what you really need to ask is this," Biden reportedly said, his voice falling to a husky whisper before roaring out his next words. "If Trump was such a great president... then, uh — why couldn't he do the, er, stop the thing with the towers in New England or wherever the heck it is? Come on, man! He wasn't even great enough to stop the… the things from... when they... if you look, back when I signed the fyuemdurrbarrah into law… we beat Obamacare, Jack! Trump didn't even, um, uh, uh, he didn't... even one time. Anyway..."
Reporters were unable to catch the close of Biden's statement, which sounded vaguely like a combination of Russian and a few African dialects. President Biden later refused to elaborate on his statements before being whisked away for his afternoon nap.
At publishing time, Biden's X account had tweeted out the question, "If Trump was such a great president, then how come he didn't stop Pearl Harbor?"
