CONCORD, NH — Following an inspiring last-place finish in the 2024 New Hampshire Republican primary, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley celebrated getting more votes in a GOP primary than any other Democrat in history.
Speaking to supporters after Donald Trump was quickly declared the winner in the Granite State, Haley touted the fact that no other Democrat has ever been able to perform so strongly in a Republican primary.
"Our campaign has done something unprecedented in the history of this country," said Haley to her tens of followers. "Never has a Democrat received so many votes in a Republican primary. The fact that most of those votes were from Democrats, who are for some reason allowed to vote in the GOP primary, in no way undermines the historic nature of our achievement."
While calls for her to pull out of the race continue to grow louder, Haley vowed to remain steadfast in her quest to become the first Democrat to win the Republican presidential nomination. "People keep counting us out," she said defiantly. "They say we can't win, just because we keep losing. Every time we get soundly defeated, they tell us it's over. But we can't listen to them. We're going to keep on fighting until we finish last in every primary on our way to victory."
At publishing time, Haley had asked if anyone would mind if just Democrats voted in the South Carolina Republican presidential primary.
