U.S. — As Joe Biden's term came to a close, Americans across the country admitted that they were actually pretty impressed that Biden managed to live through all four years of his presidency.
According to a new poll, most Americans definitely expected Biden to be in office for two or, if he was fortunate, maybe three days when he was sworn in.
"I'm not going to lie, mad respect," said Phil Grainger, a Philadelphia native. "I didn't think he could make it all four years, but it seems like he did end up sticking it out. I'm still not totally convinced that he's alive, but they say he is, so I'll go with it, I guess."
Gaming sources in Las Vegas said a select few bettors were able to make small fortunes by betting against the odds that Biden would survive his entire term.
"The odds were not in his favor," said bookie Reggie Herzog. "But, that's when gamblers make their money. Even the bravest bettors I know were pretty skeptical, but here he is, leaving office while he's alive."
Despite being impressed, however, Americans seem ready to see Biden leave office.
At publishing time, Americans were shocked to learn that Biden had actually passed away in 2019 before being elected president.
