U.S. — After many decades of going night after night without having their views represented, liberals are now relieved to finally have a white late-night host who agrees with them.
This week's announcement that Jon Stewart would be returning to host Comedy Central's The Daily Show gives long-suffering liberal viewers a platform for their opinions and viewpoints to be voiced to a large audience.
"It's about time!" said Stephanie Jones, a progressive Democrat from California. "We're so tired of all of these conservative talking points being crammed down our throats at every turn. It'll be nice to finally have a white male late-night talk show host who shares my views and constantly parrots them every single night. It's our turn now, America."
The return of Stewart to the show will leave viewers with just him, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, John Oliver, Amber Ruffin, Trevor Noah, Taylor Tomlinson, Graham Norton, and Bill Maher as the only options for left-leaning TV viewers. Liberal Americans expressed gratitude to Comedy Central for finally putting someone who agrees with them on television. "It will be a nice change of pace," Jones said. "Hearing everything I want to hear from every mainstream news outlet, movie, corporation, and educational institute is all well and good, but now we finally have a late-night host who really gets us."
At publishing time, insiders at Comedy Central reported the network is still brainstorming ways to add comedy to the show following Stewart's return.
