CHANDLER, AZ — After the Biden campaign announced their latest rally in the increasingly purple swing state of Arizona, a family of tumbleweeds excitedly made the journey to attend.
The family of 3 tumbleweeds, including a dad, a mom, and a little tike tumbleweed, are representative of a key demographic that Biden needs to lock in to secure the number of electoral votes needed to remain President. According to experts, tumbleweeds are a growing percentage of the population attending President Biden's campaign stops.
"We're thrilled to see so many enthusiastic supporters roll in like this," said one Biden campaign spokesman as the balls of dry brush entered the empty arena to the sound of whistling desert wind.
Polling data shows the president is significantly trailing Donald Trump in key swing states. Experts say this makes the tumbleweed vote more important than ever.
"Yeah, we had no problem finding a seat with a good view," said the dad tumbleweed. "We tried to attend a Trump rally once, but there were too many people and we kept getting stepped on. It was awful. That's not a problem here."
At publishing time, the tumbleweeds were having some slight difficulty rolling back home and were waiting to see if the wind would blow back the other direction.
