U.S. - In a new milestone for Major League Baseball, every single inning of a game was aired on a different streaming platform.

Sunday's matchup between the Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies saw the opening pitch broadcast on Fubo, the second inning on Hulu, the third inning on Peacock, and so on.

"Ground ball, Seager's got it - and that will do it for the fourth inning here on Sling," said commentator Joe Buck. "Just a reminder to tune in on MLBTV for the fifth inning, and then don't miss out on the sixth inning action - head on over to YouTubeTV to sign up now."

Commissioner Rob Manfred stated that fans needing nine separate subscriptions to watch a single game was proof positive of the league's effort to deliver fans the best possible viewing experience. "We're now bringing fans nine different viewing experiences over a two-and-half hour game. What other league can say that?" said Manfred. "It adds the element of adventure to every game. You're trying to go out and collect all nine services and then try to remember which goes with what inning. It's totally immersive."

At publishing time, the game had gone to extra innings over on Al-Jazeera Plus.
