U.S. - ISPs around the world reported heavy outages Wednesday as nearly everyone on the planet scrambled to download the new podcast created by The Babylon Bee.
Servers literally melted under the heavy weight of earth's citizens rushing to their computers and hurriedly pulling out their smartphones to get the first episode on iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify, Google Play, and other podcast catchers. Even those who refuse to subscribe to a mainstream podcasting service clicked a link to listen directly like this one.
"You mean the people who run the best Christian satire site on the planet are publishing a podcast every week?" one woman asked before dashing to her laptop to get the episode before the internet crashed due to heavy traffic. "Oh, wow, they discuss a few news stories from the week? And a different topic related to church culture, politics, creative writing, or worldviews? EVERY WEEK!?! And they're going to have special guests?! Whaaaat!?!?!" Her head then exploded from the sheer awesomeness of the first episode.
The public was also delighted to learn that people who subscribe to The Babylon Bee get bonus content at the end of each episode, including extra stories and a Q&A by the people behind the brilliant satirical site.
