Spearfish, SD - At a worship rally over the weekend, youth leader Derrick Lindstrom reportedly could not hear whether or not the attendees were having a good time.

"Who's excited to sing praises to our awesome Lord tonight?" he cried out. Despite the crowd's excited screams and enthusiastic hooting, Lindstrom appeared to be oblivious, and repeated the question a second and third time, sources confirmed. "I can't hear you, church!" he bellowed to the confused and bewildered audience. "I said, 'Who's excited to sing praises to our awesome Lord tonight!?!'"

"It's just really bizarre, you know?" high school student Chloe Faulkner commented after witnessing the events. "For someone's hearing to start to go bad that young, it's just kind of, like, sad I guess."

"I gave it everything I had at the top of my lungs and he still seemed to think no one was saying anything," another visibly-concerned student noted, shaking his head. "Keep him in your prayers, OK?"
