Truth Social To Begin Paying Content Creators In Limited Edition Trump NFT Trading Cards

SARASOTA, FL — In response to Twitter now paying large sums of money in ad revenue sharing to content creators, rival social media platform Truth Social has announced that its users will now begin receiving payments in limited edition Donald Trump NFT trading cards.

"This is every bit as lucrative as cash payments," said Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes. "These NFT trading cards feature President Trump in a variety of iconic poses, portraying him as the superhero he is. The resale value of these cards is through the roof. This makes five-figure payouts from Twitter look pretty weak in comparison."

Former President Trump was quick to sing the praises of Truth Social's new initiative. "THESE TRADING CARDS ARE EASILY WORTH MILLIONS," he wrote in a post on the platform. "THE MOST BEAUTIFUL NFT TRADING CARDS EVER, MAYBE EVEN OF ALL TIME. AND IF I EVER DECIDE TO RETURN TO TWITTER, THOUGH I AM VERY HAPPY HERE AT TRUTH SOCIAL, I WILL BECOME THE HIGHEST-PAID TWITTER USER OF ALL TIME. DESANCTIMONIOUS WON'T EVEN BE CLOSE. MAGA!"

Truth Social's leadership reportedly hopes the platform's large contingent of loyal Trump followers will eventually turn the trading cards into a currency of its own. "The Truth Social economy will be Trump NFT Card-based," Nunes explained.

At publishing time, Meta's new Threads app was rumored to be preparing to offer content creators "Zuckerbucks," though they can only be used to buy virtual accessories for your avatar in the Metaverse.
