WASHINGTON, D.C. — Americans received further proof that their president remained laser-focused on nothing but leading the country, as Donald Trump's Spotify Wrap revealed that he listened to "God Bless the USA" 160,000 times this year.
The White House confirmed that the president's Spotify year-end wrap-up proved that he had foregone listening to any other music of any kind in favor of the patriotic Lee Greenwood classic that he plays at all his events.
"I'm not sure he's aware that there are other songs," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said. "Everywhere he goes, he's playing ‘God Bless the USA.' Everywhere. The Oval Office. Air Force One. Mar-a-Lago. McDonald's. It's all you'll ever hear when you're around him. It would be maddening if it weren't so inspiring as an American."
The president made no apologies for his apparent obsession with the song. "It's the greatest song any human being has ever written," he told reporters in the Oval Office when asked about his Spotify Wrap. "Except for maybe my own song, if I were to ever write one. I've thought about it. Believe me, I've thought about writing songs. They would be great. Everyone would love them. But we love Lee Greenwood, don't we, folks? What a guy. A voice like an angel. If the angel were an American. We only want American angels."
At publishing time, President Trump had signed an executive order to officially replace "The Star Spangled Banner" with "God Bless the USA" as the national anthem of the United States.
Heartwarming!
