EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — Rico Dynamite, a long-time Idaho resident and former high school starting quarterback for the Preston Indians, was reportedly signed by the New York Jets in a surprise deal that is sure to win them the championship.

The New York Jets were reportedly eager to sign a new free agent this season in a desperate bid to inject new life into their flailing team. Currently ranked last place in the AFC East, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn is reportedly hopeful that their new player, known casually as Uncle Rico, will help turn the tide.

"Dynamite is a fantastic player. He can probably throw a football over them mountains, that's how good of an arm he has," Coach Glenn said during a team press conference.

Uncle Rico will reportedly be replacing Tyrod Taylor as the starting quarterback going forward. Taylor has expressed disappointment in the change, but is willing to do anything for the team. "Uncle Rico has an arm like a cannon and, honestly, if he were 20 years younger, I bet he could throw that pigskin a quarter mile," Taylor said. "I certainly couldn't do that."

At publishing time, Taylor was seen meeting with Dynamite about the concept of time travel to see if he could go back to a time when he was a good player.
