ANN ARBOR, MI - Local revolutionary thinker and blogger Lou Anderson published a blog post Monday suggesting that explorer Christopher Columbus wasn't actually a good person, sources confirmed.

The blog post is being called an innovative and earth-shattering missive that revealed to the world for the first time the possibility that Christopher Columbus was not entirely a virtuous and heroic figure.

"Am I the only one that thinks we shouldn't be celebrating a guy who kicked off the transatlantic slave trade and instigated genocide of the natives? I know I'm alone on this, but I'm gonna take a brave stand and say no, we shouldn't," Anderson wrote in the "blog post heard round the world."

"It's 2017, and I'm taking a brave stand against 15th century colonialism," the extraordinary intellectual wrote later.

The world-altering essay also took aim at the dubious nature of Columbus's accomplishments.

"Did you know that Columbus wasn't even the first European to discover the Americas?" the blog post went on, shocking the academic world by positing that Leif Erikson discovered the continent in the 11th century.

"I'm just not sure we can paint Columbus as a hero," his thoughts concluded, changing the world forevermore.
