BOISE, ID — Local Mormon wife and mother of two Hadleigh Christensen spent a lazy Sunday afternoon using Pinterest to design her future planet.
Short on ideas to decorate an entire planet herself, Christensen took to Pinterest to begin "pinning" ideas for how to best lay out and furnish an entire globe.
"Aw, this would look cute on my planet," said Christensen, clicking on a picture of small mountain range. "I don't want any volcanos though. Yuck. Oh, look at this beach! Definitely have to have that. What kind of animals do I want? So many decisions!"
Christensen found several Pinterest "boards" from other LDS women who had gathered hundreds of images to provide inspiration for the planet-designing process. "Their boards have such adorable names, like 'Cosmos Concepts' and 'Wonders Of My World'," said Christensen. "Their little future planets are so precious looking. Ugh, these ladies are so far ahead of me! It's really intimidating."
At publishing time, Christensen's husband had asked if she could please stop designing her future cosmological home and change the baby's diaper.
