MIDDLE EAST — The nations of the Middle East celebrated the announcement of a ceasefire with an massive fireworks display that lit up the entire region.

Rockets flashed across the sky, heading every direction, in a beautiful commemoration of the end of hostilities.

"Every nation, all launching these happy fireworks simultaneously - that's what makes this place special," said resident Rahman Adolhossein. "Wow, look at how many there are! And how big the explosions that they're making! It just shows how elated we are to finally have a ceasefire in place."

According to sources, every nation in the area participated in the spontaneous fireworks display, which cost hundreds of millions of dollars to produce. "The governments spared no expense on the festivities," said local woman Hanieh Moradi. "It's a breathtaking show they put on. They even managed to somehow have lots of the fireworks collide in midair to explode! Hurrah for the ceasefire!"

At publishing time, the Middle East had announced that the fireworks bash would continue tonight, and probably tomorrow as well.
