NEW YORK, NY — As concerns continued to grow over rising tensions involving violence against the Jewish community, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani held a press conference in which he vowed to root out semitism.

With rhetoric on both sides of the issue growing more heated, Mamdani stepped up to assure not only New York City residents but the American people in general that he would work tirelessly to wipe out semitism from public discourse.

"It's simply not acceptable, and I'm going to fight it every step of the way," Mamdani told reporters. "This is an important issue facing our society. I want every New Yorker to know that I stand staunchly against semitism in all its forms, and I will stop at nothing to see it eradicated from this city, and indeed our entire nation. We will have no tolerance for semitism in this city."

The media applauded Mamdani's commitment to rooting out semitism from all areas of life, public and private. "Finally, a leader who will search for a final solution to this problem," said Jeffrey Grimber, a columnist for The New York Times. "We've witnessed a troubling rise in semitism in our culture, so it's good to have Mayor Mamdani stepping up to condemn it and pledging to hunt down those who spread it and hold them accountable. With any luck, we'll soon see a New York that is completely free of semitism."

At publishing time, Mamdani had announced a new initiative to form a "Secret Police" force to identify anyone who spreads semitic sentiments and bring them to justice.
