TEHRAN — Sources close to the regime reported that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed worry during his highly publicized X interview that this Tucker Carlson guy might be a little extreme.
Pezeshkian sat down for the interview amid infighting between conservatives over the Israel-Iran conflict, leaving the Iranian president concerned that the man interviewing him may hold some extremist views.
"I mean, I've been accused of some extreme views myself, but this guy just seems kooky to me," Pezeshkian reportedly said to one aide during a break in the interview. "It's a little unsettling, to be honest."
Insiders from Pezeshkian's staff confirmed that the Iranian leader felt uncomfortable with Carlson's tone and demeanor. "It was awkward," one source said. "Our president even threw out some really wild statements just to see what this Tucker person's reaction would be, but he just sat there with a blank, confused stare on his face. We think the global community should be aware of how dangerous this man is becoming. Sanctions may be necessary to curb the threat."
According to Iranian sources, President Pezeshkian was particularly disturbed by Carlson's spontaneous fits of maniacal laughter. "He's laughing like he's setting a trap for the Batman," Pezeshkian reportedly told one assistant. "Super weird."
At publishing time, an Iranian spokesman had put in a formal request with the United Nations for them to send inspectors to find out what Carlson was up to.
