WASHINGTON, D.C. — In an interview with MS NOW last night, Representative Ilhan Omar explained that she didn't know that she had married her brother as they were separated at birth to be hidden from their father, Darth Vader.

Omar explained that her mother, Padmé, died shortly after giving birth to her and her brother on the asteroid known as Polis Massa in the Outer Rim. With Vader seeking to destroy the Jedi order, Omar and her brother were separated by the decision of Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

"You see Chris, I didn't even know I had a brother," explained Omar. "Obi-Wan Kenobi took him away to Tatooine for safekeeping when I was just a newborn. We were completely ignorant of each other's existence, so there was no way to know that I was actually related to the man I married. It's all Emperor Palpatine's fault."

The host nodded sympathetically as Omar explained that she would gladly provide documentation proving her account, but the records office on Alderaan had been destroyed by the Death Star.

"So Republicans are demanding that you produce documents from a planet that no longer exists," said Hayes, shaking his head. "Have they no decency?"

"It's disgusting, Chris," responded Omar. "It's hard enough that my father is Darth Vader without these baseless accusations of incest."

At publishing time, Omar had waved her hand at the camera and informed viewers that these were not the marriage records they were looking for.
