BOULDER, CO — Local woman Denise Manthei fulfilled the Great Commission today by purchasing a mug proclaiming that all she needs is coffee and Jesus.
Manthei even took the mug out in public for a walk through the park, going forth to make disciples of all nations.
"I wear my faith on my sleeve. And on my mug," said Manthei. "See, it's catchy, because it's true. I really do need both coffee and the Savior of all mankind. I think lots of people will see this and realize their own need for both caffeine and the Creator of the Universe. The Gospel is advancing."
According to local witnesses, Manthei proceeded to drink coffee while listening to praise music, thus confirming the message emblazoned on her mug. "Denise is really walking the walk," said friend Joanne Martin. "She is letting her actions speak. And her actions tell the story that she really must have both water poured over roasted beans as well as Jesus Christ. The Word of the Lord is moving."
At publishing time, Manthei had further fulfilled the Great Commission by purchasing a sign to go by her dining table reading "Blessed".
