HARMONDSWORTH — Following the harrowing ordeal aboard flight FZ 1073 to Tel Aviv, in which he was subdued by passengers while attempting a violent terrorist attack, the FlyDubai hijacker has reportedly already landed a new job at British Airways.
Though the co-pilot, whose identity is still being kept under wraps by authorities, reportedly stabbed the aircraft's captain and attempted to crash the plane before he was stopped by passengers aboard the flight, the incident caught the attention of British Airways recruiters.
"He'll fit in well with the culture we're trying to build in this country," said British Airways spokesperson Samir Abadi. "Once we heard about his actions on board the aircraft and his passion for jihad, we knew he needed to join our team. Devotion to Islam and a desire to kill Jews are just the types of qualities we have started to look for here at British Airways."
When asked if the failure to carry out the attack factored into the airline's decision to hire the hijacker, Abadi said everyone has room for growth. "We like to look at it as an opportunity rather than a deficiency," he explained. "On the bright side, if he had been successful, he would not be alive today for us to hire him. But with the proper training and encouragement, we hope he can reach his full potential with us. Allahu Akbar, death to infidels, and thank you for flying British Airways."
At publishing time, British Airways had reportedly enrolled the co-pilot in its new Future Hijackers Training Program.
