GOSHEN, IN — According to sources, a local family's home printer has lasted for 13 printing jobs before failing catastrophically and breaking down, breaking the previous world record of 11.
"When we purchased this HP Inkjet printer from Walmart for $65 we expected quality, but this has surpassed our wildest expectations," said Sam Gritley, the owner of the printer. "I was able to print 3 tax documents and 10 coloring pages for the kids with this bad boy. Worth every penny."
Eyewitnesses confirmed that on the 14th print job, the printer began behaving erratically, making grinding noises, and spitting out pieces of ripped paper while displaying an "error" message on the screen as most printers do after the 5th print job. "This thing has quite a bit of mileage," said Gritley. "Even though we had to spend $180 on ink refills after the third printing, we're just thankful it lasted this long."
The family confirmed they will be picking up the exact same $65 HP printer after they have thrown this one away.
At publishing time, the family had also celebrated their high-quality washing machine lasting more than 12 loads.
