FRISCO, TX — Local woman Samantha Johnson's faith in humanity was instantly restored this afternoon after she drove up to find neighborhood kids doing a lemonade stand.
Johnson pulled over and hopped out of her car, and was quickly met by six-year-old Stephanie Raskin and her eight-year-old sister Abigail, each of whom held signs advertising their lemonade and homemade cookies.
"Hello, miss! Would you like some lemonade? It's just one dollar!" said young Abigail, immediately restoring something deep in Johnson's soul.
Johnson replied that she would absolutely love some of their ice-cold lemonade, then watched as two more cars pulled up to the stand. One was Johnson's neighbor, whom she'd never talked to before. He smiled broadly as he paid with a $10 bill and said he didn't need any change, walking away with a wink.
"Maybe we're going to be okay after all," thought Johnson, sipping on her Country Time mix lemonade. "Maybe this is actually what real humanity looks like."
At publishing time, Johnson had decided to go back for seconds and leave the change.
