BLOOMINGTON, IN — Local mother Sheila Dunn was reportedly treated to a spontaneous deep-tissue back massage when her five-year-old kid began kicking her back in the middle of the night.
"I wanted to make my mom feel extra special," young Kayla Dunn later confirmed. "So I started karate chopping her shoulders and jamming my feet into her spine like any good daughter."
"Ack!" Mrs. Dunn had cried out, apparently grateful for the impromptu massage.
According to the child's father, Harvard Dunn, it was a touching display of his daughter's love for her mother. "I got out of there right away and gave them some space," he said. "I didn't want to interrupt."
Neighbors are reportedly jealous and wish their own kids would perform deep-tissue back massages in the middle of the night. "Sheila was complaining about losing sleep, but I think she's just ungrateful. I could use a good massage," said one friend.
At publishing time, controversy broke out in the Dunn household when it was revealed Kayla Dunn had simply had a nightmare and wasn't concerned about her mother's comfort at all.
