NEW YORK, NY — Actor and comedian Bill Burr broke down during a television appearance on ABC Thursday when his body went through some unexpected changes, as his cycle apparently synced up with the hosts of The View.
Burr appeared as a special guest on the program when he was suddenly overwhelmed with emotion and began feeling irritable, resulting in a series of unexpected outbursts.
"Nerds!" Burr said as he tried to explain to co-host Joy Behar what was wrong. "The nerds who own the politicians and — you know, if you don't know what's wrong I'm certainly not going to tell you. I'm just so angry, and I'm not sure why, okay?! What is this?! What are we doing?!"
Though scientists remain divided on the reality of syncing menstrual cycles, some believe it is a common occurrence. However, new data from Thursday's episode of The View has provided new evidence that females' menstrual cycles can — and do — sync up under the right circumstances.
According to members of the audience, Burr's dramatic mood swing then took him on a brief rant about God in which he questioned why he had to have periods. "It's not fair," he said. "Why don't men have to deal with this like we do? Anyone got any Midol?"
After a box of tissues was brought to Burr, he and the other five ladies continued to dish, discussing celebrity gossip, revealing their secret crushes, and taking turns telling each other they were beautiful the way they are.
"No, I'm hideous! Don't look at me!" Burr said at one point, before being calmed down by co-host Anna Navarro.
At publishing time, Burr had cheered up a bit after producers brought him a box of chocolates.
