Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the popular progressive lawmaker and former bartender, announced today that she was introducing a bill to the House of Representatives to legalize time-travelling, allowing everyone in the United States to make the journey back to the past and take steps to fix all our problems.

“This revolutionary bill would just require a few simple modifications to existing laws and of course, the introduction of technology that doesn’t actually exist,” she said during the announcement. “But why let little details like that get in the way of progress? We need bold solutions in these trying times, and I’m not afraid to think outside the box. Imagine going back in time and reversing the damage done by human beings to the environment, stopping past mistakes in politics, and even making sure everyone gets that weird future tech they wanted. The opportunities are limitless.”
