U.S. — After Enes Kanter caused a big dramatic scene in public, the WNBA was forced to admit that the former NBA player is indeed a woman.
With tears shed amid screams followed by the silent treatment, the episode left no doubt about Enes Kanter's feminine identity.
"Okay, okay. We were wrong. Enes is definitely a female," said WNBA President Cathy Englebert. "The yelling. The storming off. The refusal to say what was wrong when everyone kept asking. We apologize for ever doubting her."
The WNBA had previously denied Kanter's eligibility, but changed course after admitting that no man could cause that much drama. "After being removed from the arena, Kanter then told friends he was hungry and didn't care where they went to eat. Kanter then proceeded to veto Chili's, Olive Garden, and Texas Roadhouse," explained a league spokesperson. "Clearly, we made a mistake in denying Kanter's womanhood. The league is ready to accept her for who she is."
At publishing time, the WNBA had reached out to apologize to Kanter, who told them "not to bother because I'm totally fine."
