LONDON — Authorities closed off a section of Barking Road in East Ham on Friday following the death of a liberal man who was stabbed to death before he had a chance to finish telling everyone how peaceful Islam is.
According to witnesses at the scene, the man, later identified as Thomas Wilconsinshire, was engaged in berating several of his colleagues when a passing Muslim took notice and opted to stab him in the chest.
"Islam is the religion of peace, and they are welcome — HURK — " the victim reportedly said before he was violently stabbed.
John Elbert, one of the men being lectured by the victim, was reportedly just about to see the error of his ways and embrace the unidentified Muslim when the stabbing occurred. "No way that was a Muslim," he later told the Bobbies. "Muslims are too peaceful to kill anyone. My guess is that the mystery man in the turban was a Tory. I'd bet my life on it — HURK — "
At publishing time, authorities announced they were on the lookout for a conservative white man in a turban who keeps yelling, "Allahu Akbar!" and is presumably in possession of an unlicensed knife.
