NEW YORK, NY — Mayor Zoran Mamdani already made good on his pledge to combat antisemitism, as on Thursday he introduced mandatory "safety camps" for Jewish residents.

Beginning in August, Jewish New Yorkers will be removed from their homes and placed into special designated camps set up throughout the city. There, everything they need will be managed for them, and they'll even be able to put in an honest day's work as they get used to a new life under the control of the mayor's office.

"The best way to keep Jews safe is by concentrating them into tiny camps away from those who would do them harm," Mamdani explained. "These camps are part of my final solution to the antisemitism problem."

To make the process as efficient as possible, each Jew will be assigned a special number for identification purposes and be placed in a camp based on their perceived fitness for work, age, health, and gender.

"And the best part: it's all paid for by the government," Mamdani said. "Your tax dollars put to good use."

Mamdani offered to have the city's Jewish population transported to the camps via train to make the transition easier. "We have big plans for this pogrom," Mamdani said. "I'm sorry, did I say 'pogrom?' I meant 'program.' Not 'pogrom.'"

At publishing time, Mamdani had issued a special invitation for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to come tour one of the camps.
