BOISE, ID — A life-changing moment occurred for a group of children today, as a local mother decided a classic film from the 1980s should be fine for them to watch based on the fact that it was rated PG.

"This movie is rated PG, so it should be totally fine for the kids," she said as she clicked "play" on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. "I trust the people who rate movies to know what is appropriate for children to watch, so I'm confident that there won't be any problem for them seeing this one."

Though the viewing of the film started out peacefully and without incident, the woman later heard a series of shocked gasps followed by exclamations of terror. "I went back into the living room to see a man's heart being ripped out of his chest while he was still alive before he was ceremonially lowered into a lava pit to appease some pagan Hindu deity! How is this movie rated PG?!"

The woman paused the movie to console her traumatized children and find out what else they had seen. "This movie is apparently full of really questionable stuff for kids," she said. "My son told me it had already shown people eating live baby snakes cut out of their mother's stomach! And monkey brains for dessert! Are you kidding me, MPAA?"

At publishing time, the woman had refused to let the kids finish the movie and instead decided to put on Return to Oz, believing there would be no way a sequel to The Wizard of Oz would have any frightening, nightmare-inducing imagery.
