U.S. — Taco Bell has unveiled its latest culinary creation: the "Every Day We Stray Further From God's Light" Chalupa Supreme.
The fast-food chain, known for its innovative and questionable menu items, has once again pushed the boundaries of gastronomic experimentation. The new Chalupa Supreme boasts a medley of flavors that will "once again have you sitting alone in your car after midnight questioning your life choices with every bite."
"We wanted to create something that really encapsulated the essence of existential crisis that our food is known for," said Taco Bell's Chief Culinary Engineer, Mark Rodriguez. "And what better way to do that than with a crispy chalupa shell filled with seasoned beef, nacho cheese, and 43 other ingredients we are too embarrassed to say out loud?"
According to Rodriguez, if you are looking for the perfect combination of Mexican cuisine and regret then the Chalupa Supreme is the perfect meal for you.
Reaction to the new menu item has been mixed, with some customers praising Taco Bell for continuing its innovative approach to fast food, while others question whether humanity has gone too far.
"I took one bite and my taste buds felt like they were exploding! This was immediately followed by shame. Lots and lots of shame," said one bewildered patron. "But then I went back to order seconds, so Taco Bell has done it again!"
At publishing time, Taco Bell announced that the new "Who Am I And What Have I Become?" Burrito and the "Midlife Crisis!" Crunchwrap Supreme are now available at participating locations.
