U.S. — Longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan has officially signed a contract with Spirit Airlines to cover mid-air fights.

Spirit Airlines will begin broadcasting the fights on pay-per-view, in hopes of using the violence as a new revenue stream.

"It's a match made in heaven," said Spirit Airlines CEO Dave Davis. "Who better than Joe Rogan to break down the vicious pummeling happening at 17A? We can't wait to showcase to America the grappling skills these passengers bring to the table. We've got a great first card coming up, with seasoned fighters from all over the country."

Rogan reportedly jumped at the opportunity, impressed with the caliber of fights he was seeing on Spirit. "These are absolute savages," said Rogan. "This is like when the UFC first began, that same spirit of no-holds-barred brutality. You've got the crowd right on top of you cheering, it's an incredible environment. I can't wait to get started."

At publishing time, Spirit Airlines had added a "No Brass Knuckles" warning sign next to the seatbelt sign.
