ANTARCTICA — Santa Claus' Workshop may be in trouble after it was revealed that elves located at the South Pole have been making cheap knock-off toys for Christmas at half the price.
Sources confirmed that South Pole elves have been manufacturing their toys using unsafe materials, unsafe work environments, and illegal slave labor.
"Santa at the North Pole might have the Nintendo Switch 2, but we have the Fun Game Time Electronic Play Device," said one supervisor at the factory. "It's basically the same thing. You can download all the games off the dark web."
The Better Business Bureau reported the Antarctic Toy Shop has received several complaints of shoddy business practices, including overworking the elves, recruiting penguins to deliver merchandise without pay, and ignoring common safety protocols as they chase after the almighty dollar.
According to sources, Santa became furious when he found out his business was being undercut by "those Southie Communists." His office issued a cease-and-desist letter citing brand confusion, misleading advertising, and trade secret misappropriation. "We have reason to believe you are utilizing methods perfected in the North Pole in a malicious attempt to intrude on our market share," the letter read.
At publishing time, Santa's Workshop had filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
