LOS ANGELES, CA — Actor Pedro Pascal received a notable honor the day following the Oscars, as he was officially named this year's Best Dressed Woman at the Academy Awards, marking a career first for the Chilean-Mexican actor.
"I would like to think the Academy and my fabulous sense of feminine style," Pascal said as he gleefully twirled and accepted his first Oscar. "You like me! You really like me!"
Pascal, who was recognized for wearing a cute little cocktail number on weekends while shooting The Fantastic Four: First Steps in addition to his elegant Oscars blouse, also thanked his mother, fellow actress Meryl Streep, and his mustache.
The award marked both the first appearance of a man in the Best Dressed Woman category, though Pascal was used to being complimented for his beautiful taste in dresses. "I have a woman's eye for fashion," he continued. "That's just another reason why I like to run my hands over my female co-stars' clothes."
Pascal beat out notable contenders Emily Blunt, Neil Patrick Harris, and Sir Ian McKellen. Pascal expressed hope that his breakthrough win would pave the way for other ambiguously unsettling male actors to follow in his footsteps to be recognized for wearing beautiful women's clothing.
At publishing time, Pedro Pascal had sadly been snubbed in the Most Normal Actor category.
