TAMPA, FL - Drawing upon his study of great theologians and communicators like Jerry Seinfeld, George Carlin, and Louis C.K., local pastor Jim Morales "absolutely killed" with his touching and moving comedy routine delivered at Red Letter Church Sunday morning.

"Oh man, he had us rolling," one audience member said after the church service. "I just love how he makes small observations about the mundane things in life and lampoons them relentlessly."

"The bit about the airport - I couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard," she went on, though she was unable to recall what the point of the illustration was.

According to critics, Morales' otherwise riotous performance was marred only slightly by a brief attempt to apply the teachings of the Bible to the lives of the people in attendance.

"I don't know what that misguided attempt at bringing God into it was all about," a Washington Post critic wrote in his 4-1/2 star review of Morales' fine-tuned comedy routine. "But no comic is on his game 100% of the time, and Morales bounced back perfectly with a hilarious story about how lame his wife is. A stellar performance, and the start of a great comedic career."

Morales is also reportedly in talks with cable channel Comedy Central negotiating his own variety show.
