FORT WAYNE, IN — Social media history was made today, as a local woman announced she had deactivated her Instagram account for a record fourth time in the last month.
The news broke that Sandra Avery had deactivated her account on the social media platform once again after reactivating it only a week prior, which itself took place only a week after she returned from her last deactivation of the app. All told, it was eventually confirmed that Sandra's latest account deletion was her fourth of the month, officially making her the new record holder.
"I'm really done this time," she was heard telling her husband, Tom. "I spend too much time on it anyway. I only reactivated it the other day because my friend told me about this account I should see, but now I'm finished with it. I'm serious this time. I don't need it. I have better things to do with my time."
Sandra reportedly spent the last two days sending and receiving Reels with her friends and posting stories featuring adorable moments with her children before deciding that scrolling on Instagram was taking up too much of her time, which was why she had deactivated it 7 days ago before reactivating it one day later and deactivating it the next week after that before reactivating it shortly thereafter.
"She does this a lot," Tom Avery said. "It's not that big of a deal, though I guess it's kinda cool that she now holds the record for most deactivations in a month."
At publishing time, Sandra had reactivated her Instagram account.
