PYONGYANG - Joel Osteen took America by storm with his positive, uplifting preaching, and is now taking his encouraging messages overseas with Lakewood Pyongyang, sources confirmed Tuesday.

Lakewood reportedly purchased the massive Rungrado 1st of May Stadium in the heart of beautiful Pyongyang for $1.5 billion in preparation for the launch. The stadium will host weekly services for up to 114,000 attendees, featuring live satellite broadcasts of Joel Osteen's messages and the occasional in-person appearance by the smiling preacher himself.

"Christians across the U.S. have been encouraged to think positively and claim all their wants and needs through our ministry," Osteen said in a statement. "Now, believers throughout the persecuted church in North Korea can be motivated to sow the seeds of their destinies, and enable God to fulfill their dreams!"

"Persecuted Christians of North Korea, get ready: you are coming into a shift!" he added with a smile.

Lakewood Church representatives also confirmed that plans to launch Lakewood Saudi Arabia, Lakewood Somalia, and Lakewood Baghdad are underway.
